| The sample quilt uses 10 layers of fabric. To cut down on yardage and simplify the cutting, in class we will use a 5-layer version. The sample block below shows this version, in which two different sets of main fabric wedges alternate with the background fabric. |
| Note to Workshop Organizers: One iron per 3-4 students is recommended for this class. All but 2 can be unplugged once the sewing machines are in use. |
